In order to create an immersive visual experience, the surface has become the standard for displays starting at a screen ratio of 21:9. For a screen ratio of 32:9, the surround feel of the curved screen is more obvious. The curvature of the 1800R bends the 499P9H1 into a distinct arc that envelops the human eye. Compared with the traditional flat panel display, the 499P9H1 is a large-size curved screen that is closer to the human eye’s perception in real life, reducing image distortion and having a strong immersive visual experience. The 499P9H1 is not the first 32-inch 49-inch display. Prior to it, other brands introduced a 32:9 49-inch display. But the previous monitors basically used Samsung’s 49-inch VA panel with a resolution of only 3840×1080. This resolution looks quite awkward on the huge and ultra-wide 49-inch display, except for the obvious graininess (points up to O.311mm): the picture is also “obese” because it stretches to the sides. . I personally feel that the visual experience is not very good. However, with this panel, Samsung has successfully led the old rival LG on the 49-inch panel for a whole year. Of course, after all, this is just a transitional expediency. As a result, Samsung also shipped a new 49-inch VA panel last year, increasing the resolution to 5120×1440. Compared to the standard 2k resolution of 2560×1440, the 5120×1440 doubles the width, which corresponds to a change from 16:9 to 32:9 width. Compared to Samsung’s previous generation of 49-inch panels, the dot pitch of the new panel has been greatly reduced to O.233mm, so the picture is much more delicate. At the same time, the picture will not appear too “obese”, more in line with everyone’s habits. In addition to accurate color reproduction, the 499P9H1 also has a very powerful utility. The 499P9H1 supports the MultiClient function. By integrating the KVM switch in the display, you can operate two hosts simultaneously through a single set of keyboard and mouse. This function is not complicated to implement. First, you need to connect two upstream USB interfaces (USB Tvpe-C and USBTvpe-B) to two PCs, and then connect the mouse and keyboard to the downlink USB interface on the display. It is not easy for designers to make the base support such a huge weight, reduce the occupation of the desktop space, and have an aesthetic effect.
